my fit project (“us”, “we”, “I”, “our”, “me”) is a company focused on health and wellbeing. Through this website and associated blogs, my fit project brings you the motivation, inspiration, ideas and knowledge to assist you in leading a healthy, balanced life. my fit project is a sole owner business that is committed to protecting your privacy and the security of the information you share with me.

By using this site, you indicate your acceptance of my fit project’s Privacy Policy.

WHAT INFORMATION DOES my fit project COLLECT?

my fit project collects personal identifying information from you only if you voluntarily submit such information to this website and associating blogs and through e-mail.  my fit project also collects personal identifying information during transactions, advertised events, marketing campaigns, and competitions/projects. When visiting my fit project and linked blog sites, I collect user-specific information on what pages are visited and volunteered information such as survey information and/or site registrations.  Personal identifying information includes your name, date of birth, gender, postal address, e-mail address, mobile phone number, and all other information you provide.

 my fit project collects personal information from you when you register to become a member of the website. Personal information such as contact information is required in order to register and receive the subscribed services. In completing the online form, you accept that you have granted my fit project consent to collect and use your contact information. If you do not provide my fit project with the necessary contact information (e.g. phone number, address, contact details, payment and account details, occupation), you will not be able to subscribe and receive the paid information service. If you do not provide us with certain medical and exercise history information (e.g. age, weight, height, medical and exercise history), you will not be able to subscribe and receive the service.

In addition, at various times throughout your projects, we may ask you for health information, fitness and nutrition details, some of which may be classified as sensitive personal information. This may also include photographic images of you. You do not have to provide my fit project with your health information, however this means that you may not be eligible to enter some competitions/projects, nor able to receive personalised information specific to your needs.

Contact information will not be disclosed publicly by my fit project unless authorised by law. Your health information, however, may be disclosed publicly on the website, along with your image. This is for the purposes of publicly profiling your fitness, displaying the results of competitions/projects, promoting the service and encouraging other members. By participating in the projects, my fit project collects this information, and you consent to possible public disclosure on the website. If at any time you no longer consent, then you must contact us.

It is your responsibility to advise us of any changes to your personal details to ensure my fit project can keep its records accurate and up to date. my fit project will only collect information directly from you. If you are disclosing details of another person, it is your sole responsibility to ensure that that person consents to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information in the manner set out in this policy.

We will not track your internet activity when you visit our website. Your contact information may be used, in addition to the primary purposes outlined above, for account and billing purposes, by third party service providers (to the extent required for the limited purpose of providing services contracted to us so that we may service you) or to respond to an enquiry if you choose to contact us. In certain circumstances, such as in response to a claim of copyright infringement, we will use your email address to action a request for a Take Down Notice, or to otherwise administer our terms of registration (for example, notifying you of breach).

We will preserve the content of any email or information you submit if we believe we have a legal requirement to do so, or if any form of email abuse is suspected.

my fit project may, on occasion, contain links to other sites with information gathering practices different from this company. Visitors should consult privacy policies for all other sites, as my fit project has no control over information submitted to or collected by such third parties.

my fit project sometimes offer or promote contests, competitions, or promotions advertised, sponsored or co-sponsored by third parties. These third parties may obtain personal identifying information that visitors voluntarily submit to participate in the contest, competition, or promotion. my fit project has no control over the third-party sponsor's use of this information.

CHANGES 

my fit project may need to change this privacy policy from time to time in order to address new issues, evolving technologies, changes on the sites, or business practices. my fit project will post those changes so you will always know what information is gathered and how that information may be used. Please refer back to this policy regularly.

MEMBER CONDUCT 

You understand that all information, data, text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, video, messages or other materials ("Content"), whether publicly posted or privately transmitted, are the sole responsibility of the person from which such Content originated. This means that you, and not my fit project, are entirely responsible for all Content that you upload, post, or otherwise transmit. my fit project does not control the Content posted and, as such, does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity, or quality of such Content. You understand that by using my fit project, you may be exposed to Content that is offensive, indecent or objectionable.

You agree to not use the my fit project website in order to:

  • engage in commercial activities without the express written consent of my fit project. This includes, but is not limited to, the following activities:
    • offering for sale any products or services;
    • soliciting for advertisers or sponsors;
    • conducting raffles or contests that require any type of entry fee;
    • displaying a sponsorship banner of any kind, including those that are generated by banner or link exchange services
    • displaying banners for services that provide cash or cash-equivalent prizes to users in exchange for hyperlinks to their websites.

RIGHTS

You acknowledge that we acquire all Rights to use any posted materials as described above so that we do not violate any Rights you may have in materials you post. By submitting content to or through the my fit project site, you grant us the non-exclusive right to reproduce, modify, and distribute it as we see fit in any medium and for any purpose in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed. You also permit any other user to access, display, and print such content for personal use. You vouch that any material you submit does not violate, plagiarize, or infringe upon the right of any third party, including copyright, trademark, or proprietary rights. If non-original content is included in your posting, you must obtain permission from the content owner and attribute it.

ACCESSING PERSONAL INFORMATION

If you wish to access the information my fit project  holds about you, please submit a request to enquiries@myfitproject.com . You are entitled to edit, update or delete such information unless we are required by law to retain it. Note that if we delete your contact information, we may not be able to provide you with the subscribed service.

If you request us not to use personal information in a particular manner or at all, my fit project will adopt reasonable measures to observe your request but we may still use or disclose your information if you subsequently consent to the disclosure or we believe the use or disclosure is reasonably necessary to assist a law enforcement agency or as otherwise required by law.

If you know the information my fit project holds about you is not accurate or complete, please advise us so we can amend it.
